Brianna Barth '07

In 2007, Brianna led the Chaminade softball team to its second consecutive Division IV championship. She earned four varsity letters and was named to the All Area Team and the 2004 All Mission League Team Second Team. With 23 wins, Brianna had an ERA .88, pitched 182 innings with 170 total strikeouts. Her batting average was .410 and fielding percentage .953.

She was recruited to play softball for Florida Tech. For four consecutive years, Brianna was named Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-South Region Second Team as a utility player and pitcher. She was on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll three times and the Sunshine State Conference's (SSC) Honor Roll twice. In 2008, she was named to the SCC first team as a utility player. In 2010, Brianna won the SSC Pitcher of the Week award and was as a dual player for the Panthers.

Starting 47 games in 2011, she split time between pitcher, outfield and designated player and led the team in ERA. In 2012, Brianna appeared in 44 games, starting 42 including 32 as pitcher. She ranked second on team in batting average, first on the team in runs scored and stolen bases, and had two separate four-RBI games and ten multi-hit games. Brianna ranked first on the team in many pitching categories including ERA, opponent batting average, wins, innings pitched, strikeouts and appearances.

Ryan Hamill '97
An excellent baseball player, Ryan Hamill ’97 was captain of the team in his senior year. He was awarded All League 1996. In 1997, he was All-CIF, All-League First Team, All-Area Team (he led the Area with 16 home runs, 54 rbi; hitting .475), State Player of the Year, San Fernando Valley Player of the Year, Mission League All-Academic Team and participated in the Bernie Milligan All-Star Baseball Game. He won the Home Run Derby in the 1997 Gael Classic Baseball Tournament in Las Vegas. In 1998, he received Honorable Mention in the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Baseball Team.

His Chaminade jersey is retired and is hanging in the lobby of the Uribe Center. Ryan was recruited to play baseball by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and later transferred to UCLA. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in June 2000, and retired in June 2003. After he left the Cardinals, he graduated from UCLA in June of 2004 and the University of San Francisco Law School in 2007.

Doug Kavulich 88'
Doug was an exceptional football player. He received many awards in 1987 including All CIF, LA Times All Valley Team, Daily News All Area Team, and All-League Player. He was recruited by Rutgers University. In his college career, he started in 20 games at both center and offensive guard and earned three letters. In his senior season, Doug was awarded the David Bender award, given to the most valuable offensive lineman on the team. He was part of the 1992 Rutgers football team that had a 7-4 record, their best win/loss record until the 2005 Rutgers season. In 1993, he graduated from Rutgers with a B.S. degree in Management and in 2000, he earned an MBA from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Chris Noonan '88

A three-sport Eagle athlete, Chris was on the track team, and played soccer and football for Chaminade. As the team kicker, his field goal record still stands at 54 yards (it was tied in 2010). His football accomplishments include All-League Selection in 1987, 1988, All-State Selection in 1988, All-America Third Team in 1988 and Daily News/Los Angeles Times All-Star Selection in 1988.

Chris was offered a scholarship to play football at UC Berkeley. He was a four-year letterman, winning Honorable Mention All-PAC 10 Selection (Punter).
