At Chaminade we are proud to provide our students a challenging, Catholic education in the Marianist tradition of educating the whole person in the family spirit.
Faith life at Chaminade is rooted in the Roman Catholic Tradition and animated by the Marianist charism which forms students to participate in Mary’s mission to bring Christ to the world.
Chaminade’s curriculum is rooted in Catholic Marianist values that inspire a love of learning and develop leaders who collaborate to solve problems with compassion, creativity, and critical thinking. Chaminade College Preparatory is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WCEA/WASC).
Our 6th grade class is comprised of students from over 60 different partner schools. Students come from both private and public schools and travel from distances near and far to attend Chaminade.
The school library is open each morning at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m. There is supervision in the library before school and after school at no additional cost.
Our school cafeteria provides breakfast and lunch each day for students who desire to buy a meal. The cafeteria makes the food fresh each day and works with students who may have special dietary restrictions or allergies. Parents charge their children’s Eagle Cards from home, and students use this card to buy their lunch. It is not a requirement.
Students will attend 1-2 liturgical celebrations in a month, take a religion class, perform Apostolic Works (community service) and attend one grade level retreat per year. We are religiously diverse and appreciate all our students and meet them on their faith journey, wherever they may be.
Students come from all over the greater Los Angeles area. To help accommodate families who do not live in the neighborhood, we have buses that come from the East Valley, Santa Clarita, Conejo Valley and more. For more information on our bus transportation routes, see the Transportation page of our website.
