Message from the Director

Greetings!

For over two thousand years, the Roman Catholic faith and intellectual tradition has been shaped and transformed by diverse global cultures. Roman Catholic institutions have a long history of working with Religious communities that share a particular charism (gift) in order to fulfill the mission of a founder. Like Blessed William Joseph Chaminade, the founder of the Marianists, Chaminade College Preparatory’s Marianist educators (faculty, staff, and administration) emulate the qualities of the Blessed Mother to nurture Christ in their students.

The Office of Mission & Strategic Initiatives is committed to preserving, enhancing, and animating the Marianist charism. The Office was created to design, coordinate, oversee, and implement ways for all members of the Chaminade community to commit themselves with zeal to the mission of forming our students in the Christian way of life through the Characteristics of Marianist Education. Our approach to this commitment is inclusive and distinctively Catholic which engages all members in cooperative and constructive conversations about the unique and meaningful aspects of culture and individual religious beliefs in a family spirit environment.

Finally, the Office of Mission & Strategic Initiatives oversees and supports the Office of Campus Ministry to provide opportunities to develop and enhance initiatives that furthers the Marianist charism in the Chaminade community.
