Aerie Yearbook
Looking forward to your 2022-2023 Aerie yearbook? We can’t wait to share it with you! Books are on the way from the printing plant in Tennessee and will arrive in June. Graduating seniors, we will be in touch with you to communicate how you can pick up your book this summer. Current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will receive their books during orientation in August.
Every student gets a book so there is no need to purchase one!
Book Buyback
This year, we will be providing you an opportunity to sell back your used books in partnership with our book provider. Please follow these three easy steps:
1 – Sign into your
MBS account (or create an account if you don’t have one -- students who did not buy from MBS can still participate in buyback). Follow the directions outlined in this video on how to get a quote on the books you’d like to sell:
https://vimeo.com/416488821/1b74487b59
2 – Be sure to PRINT THREE quotes. There will be no printing capabilities on campus, so if you arrive without the printed quotes, we will not be able to accept the books.
3 - Please bring the books you are selling to the Tutor Center Lobby between 8:30am-1pm on Wednesday, May 24 or between 12pm and 2pm at the Middle School in the Student Center.
How do I get paid for my buyback books?

Will you accept buyback books in any condition?
Because books are resold to other students, MBS does not accept or pay for buyback books with:
• Stains or water damage
• Missing, torn, or loose pages
• Missing, torn, or loose covers
• Excessive writing or marking
• Excessive writing on the edges
• A broken spine
• Torn or damaged binding
A textbook can still be in good condition if it shows signs of general use and wear and tear, such as:
• Some writing or notes
• Highlighting, from a little to a lot
• Rounded or dog-eared corners
• Minor scrapes or scratches
• Faded cover art
• Creased pages
Keep in mind:
-Please do not bring any extra or unwanted books. We will not be able to accept any books except for those being sold back to MBS.
-If you rented books from MBS, you will receive a separate email communication from MBS on how to return those books (please do not bring those books to campus or attempt to sell them).
-If you need assistance with your MBS account or creating the quote on the MBS website, please contact their customer service at (800) 325-3252 or clicking the Help icon. If you have any questions about dropping off the books on campus, you may contact Anthony Ploesch at the middle school at
aploesch@chaminade.org or Micheal Huff at the high school at
mhuff@chaminade.org.
-Can’t make it on May 24th? You can still create a quote and ship the books on your own.
LIBRARY
- Students with library debts have had holds placed on their grades;
- Although the library is closed during summer and there is no library staff on campus, Mrs. Benning will periodically check email. Contact her at kbenning@chaminade.org.
- Check your library account here: www.chaminadelibrary.org
NOTE: The “Fines” tab does not show late fees for items not yet returned. The fine amount is calculated once the item is checked in at the library. Equipment (calculators, laptop chargers, etc.) are same-day checkout and should be returned by the end of the day. A $1 per-day late fee accrues until the item is returned. Late fees are not charged on days school is not in session. Late fees are not charged for books.
