Chaminade is one School with two campuses located in the San Fernando Valley. Our Middle School campus and business office are located in Chatsworth, and our High School campus is located in West Hills. For over 60 years, Chaminade has prepared college-bound students for the future in a rigorous academic program integrated with extra-curricular activities that develop the whole person.

Chaminade is proud of its beautiful campuses and facilities and the quality of the staff and faculty who work at our school.

It is not meant to detail each and every standard or practice of Chaminade, but rather to serve as a reference for the main aspects of daily life and a larger vision of Chaminade’s ideals and expectations. This employee handbook is designed to acquaint you with Chaminade College Preparatory and provide you with information about working conditions, employee benefits and policies affecting your employment. It contains general statements of school policy, which Chaminade reserves the right to apply at is sole discretion based on the facts of individual situations (or in consideration of other factors it deems pertinent) and in preservation of Chaminade’s best interests. All employees should be aware that violation of school policies and procedures may subject the employee to corrective action, up to and including termination of employment.

No employee handbook can anticipate every circumstance or question about policy. The information in this Handbook may be amended due to changes in the law, federal, or state regulations, as well as changes in the needs of Chaminade. Chaminade reserves the right to amend, revise, supplement, or rescind the Handbook at any time, without notice, except for the Policy of At-Will employment which cannot be modified unless there is a written agreement signed by the School President and the employee.

Chaminade continually strives to maintain excellent communications with all faculty and staff members. The Human Resources department works hard to keep the manual up to date and to keep all employees informed as policy changes occur from time to time during the normal course of business. This edition of the Employee Handbook replaces and supersedes all prior versions. Please understand, however, that there may be times when policy will change (at the sole discretion of the President) before the written document can be revised and distributed to all employees.
