At Chaminade we are proud to provide our students a challenging, Catholic education in the Marianist tradition of educating the whole person in the family spirit.
Faith life at Chaminade is rooted in the Roman Catholic Tradition and animated by the Marianist charism which forms students to participate in Mary’s mission to bring Christ to the world.
Chaminade’s curriculum is rooted in Catholic Marianist values that inspire a love of learning and develop leaders who collaborate to solve problems with compassion, creativity, and critical thinking. Chaminade College Preparatory is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WCEA/WASC).
Yes, all applicants will receive email instructions about applying for a merit scholarship. Instructions will be sent after the deadline of January 10, 2025. This opportunity is for those who meet our application deadline.
You may make the request through your child’s checklist portal at any time after submitting the application. Our request requires that the first semester/trimester grades are to be sent from the current school year. The office staff at your child’s current school will know to upload this part of our requirement.
Use of this feature is optional. Many families will upload secondary recommendations, test scores, awards, or other accomplishments they want to show the admissions committee.
We look at a wide array of measures in determining whether a student is qualified and prepared to attend Chaminade. We look at each child’s grades, standardized test scores, and results from the SSAT, if they choose to take it. We also take into consideration the information from the student interview, report card comments, and recommendation forms. We are looking for a good student who is also a good citizen.
For the 2025-2026 school year, Chaminade is not requiring students to take an entrance exam. If you have taken an exam elsewhere, we will accept those scores as a supplement to the application process. You may submit those scores to the school via email.
Acceptance letters and an email will go out on Friday, March 7, 2025, welcoming students to the Chaminade family! Students will receive an acceptance packet in the mail in the ensuing days.
Chaminade is committed to providing need-based financial aid. Assistance is awarded based on need and available financial funds. For more information about aid and tuition, please visit the Affording Chaminade page.
