  • Matching Gifts

Your employer may provide matching gift support, which may double or even triple your gift. This is a great way to maximize your gift. Please complete the appropriate forms from your employer’s human resources department and return with your gift.

To find out if your company has a matching gift program, please contact Kristine Calara, Vice President of Advancement at (818) 360-0615 or kcalara@chaminade.org.
  • Real Estate

Real Estate, such as home, vacation home, farm, or acreage which has appreciated in value may provide a unique donation opportunity that can help reduce your exposure to capital gains tax and generate a charitable deduction.  You might also want to consider structuring a gift of a home, vacation home, etc., to allow you and/or your spouse continued use (“Retained Life Use”) while also generating a current charitable deduction. Speak to your financial advisor today about these real estate gift options to learn how they might impact your personal tax situation, while benefiting Chaminade’s programs.
  • Stocks and Securities

A gift of appreciation stock generally offers a two-fold tax savings – avoiding capital gains tax on the increase in value of stock and providing an income tax deduction for the full market value of the stock at the time of the gift.  Speak to your tax advisor today about how this might affect your income tax liability.

Download our transfer instructions to get started. Please inform us, Chaminade College Preparatory of California, of the company name and number of shares being donated for acknowledgement and tracking purposes.

Please contact Kristine Calara, Vice President of Advancement at (818) 360-0615 or kcalara@chaminade.org.
