  • Drone Adventures

    The Drones are here! Let the battles begin. In this hands-on, interactive class you will learn how to safely fly drone robots. Working in teams, you will be able to code your drone to compete in missions that will prepare you for the ultimate team challenge at the end of the week. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

  • Palette of Art

     A fun, creative camp designed for artists to explore different mediums and techniques. Activities include building paper creatures, friendship bracelets, sculpting & painting figures, drawing, and more! This week is all about creativity and exploration.

  • 3D Game Design with Unity

    Entering 6th – 8th grade
    Are you ready to take your game design skills to another level? With Unity, an industry-grade design software, aspiring game designers will learn level editing, 3D modeling, impactful gameplay creation, as well as how to utilize scripts and variables. Student-created games will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years.

On the last day of camp, students will have the opportunity to present a criminal trial for parents and family. 

    This program will meet in person on the West Hills Campus.

    This advanced skills camp is for students entering 6th - 8th grade in the fall of 2025

    Join the varsity coaching staff as well as the Chaminade Eagle baseball players at an advanced skills camp aimed to get you ready to compete at the next level, high school baseball.  Both offensive and defensive skills will be addressed, including hitting, base running, pitching, and outfield and infield defensive skills.     NEW Students Entering 6th and 7th and 8th grades (Students should be enrolled according to grade entering for Fall 2025)
    This workshop will immerse new students in a three-hour daily experience specifically designed to familiarize NEW Chaminade students with the middle school culture and meet their classmates. Students will also learn important skills for organization, time management, note-taking, and test preparation. Students will utilize tablet computers daily to practice keyboarding and learn the basic functions of the laptops in a classroom setting.
    Lunch and snack is included in program fee.

New developers will learn to use Roblox’s Studio software to reimagine the popular game genres with your own custom code! Student-created games will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

  • Ultimate Drawing Foundations

    Unlock the secrets of drawing with personalized instruction! Start with the basics: shapes, proportions, and shading, and progress to more complex compositions. Students will work on drawings, observational studies, and tonal compositions while building their confidence and skills. By the end of the week, students will have completed tonal studies and have learned about comparative measurements.

  • Minecraft Modders

    Entering 5th – 8th grade
    Customize your own Minecraft world and mod the classic game in this one-of-a-kind class. Learn scripting and logic statements as you create your first mods. Students will create a wide variety of new elements, gameplay mechanics, and world-generating mods to change the way you play Minecraft. Projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students must have the Java version of Minecraft to take this class. Tablet, phone, and game console versions of Minecraft are not compatible. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

  • Introduction to Musical Theater (Grades 2-6)

    This one-week course is designed to give students the opportunity to develop their skills and techniques in the following areas: music, movement, and acting. Students will work on scenes and songs from DISNEY’S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.  This course will use Musical Theatre repertoire appropriate for the age, skill, talent, and ability of the students. Students will develop basic skills and knowledge in the rehearsal process and promote confidence in their performance abilities. Students will have an opportunity to show off their talents to friends and family at the end of the workshop.

  • Cardboard Superhero Star Wars (Grades 5-8)

    It all started with a cardboard box...
    We are proud to be partnering with Cardboard Superheroes  - a non-profit organization with a mission to promote creative thinking and learning as well as the arts in education. The are a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) driven organization pushing the boundaries educating the next generation. 
    Cardboard Superheroes was founded by the creators of the life-sized cardboard models such as Iron Man, Groot, Wall-E, Wonder Woman, Hulkbuster, and more! Connor Lee (Chaminade class of ’23) and Bauer Lee (current Chaminade High School student) have also created the Pop-Culture STEAM Curriculum used by over 250,000+ students, have designed exhibitions for museums/organizations, and more!     At our summer camp indoor soccer, participants learn sport-specific fundamentals and achieve personal-best performances. Focused on skill development, the indoor setting provides a consistent and comfortable environment for learning.   • Mine Design

    Entering 4th – 8th grade
    This is your chance to make the friendship bracelets! Join us for a camp that lets you personalize and accessorize your own fashion, jewelry, and accessories. Campers will get to let their imagination and creativity run wild as they design hats, tote bags, and necklaces. Supplies are included, and a Cricut machine will be used to aid in the camper's amazing creations!

    Join Chaminade’s internationally recognized Eagle Engineering robotics team! Learn basic engineering concepts in a way that’s so fun you’ll forget that it’s preparing you as the next generation of innovators, inventors, and technicians. Students work in teams and create and operate a robot to compete in a game inspired by this year’s VEX Robotics Competition. No experience is necessary. The course fee includes a healthy snack and lunch every day of the week!

    Entering 6th – 8th grade
    Explore the world of artificial intelligence to design fully interactive games and experiences using cutting-edge technology. This program combines artificial intelligence with coding to create an unforgettable learning adventure. Students will construct machine learning models that use image and text recognition within block-based coding software to build a portfolio of projects. Student-created projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

    This dance intensive is for students entering 6th - 9th grade in the fall of 2024.
     
    Don’t miss you chance to work with our Chaminade Dance Director and former L.A. Rams Cheerleader, Jacqueline Ward.  This dance intensive will assist dancers on refining their technique in multiple styles of dance.  Master guest instructors and choreographers will also be a part of the instructional team.  We hope to have you join us to boost your fundamental techniques to a more advanced level.
     
    Jacqueline Ward was a competition dancer her whole life before attending Chapman University’s prestigious dance program. Upon graduation, she signed with a talent agency and dances professionally in Los Angeles. She is currently a Cheerleader (dancer) for The Los Angeles Rams.

  • Camp Cricut Create

    It doesn’t take an artist to create one-of-a-kind projects. Using the computer program Design Space, students can easily tap into their creative side to create images on tablet computers. Watch their designs come to life as they create one-of-a-kind tote bags, water bottles, t-shirts, and more. Creativity and technology come together in this camp as students print their designs on Cricut Makers.

Troy Magorien was a former MVP of the Marmonte league in the Conejo Valley, an All-American AVCA HS player, and a coach for the 949 volleyball club, earning a bronze and silver medal at nationals. Doug Magorien has developed 36 Division 1 men’s and women's volleyball players and 1 current Olympian, Kyle Ensing. Both have a wealth of knowledge to share.

    Find your voice and leave your mark on the world! Whether you are six or sixteen, it’s time to start a career as the next YouTube star. Explore the variety of content and personalities that exist on YouTube and how to find your own niche. Learn the Dos and Don’ts of the platform and how to practice good digital citizenship. Develop your on-camera presence, your own channel branding, and professional editing skills. Take home a plan for launching your own channel with the content created in class! Student projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

Students will construct machine learning models that use image and text recognition within block-based coding software to build a portfolio of projects. Student-created projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

  • Artistic Crafts Camp (4-8)

    Students will explore ceramics, printing/ stamp making, and acrylic painting and create multiple pieces each week using the designated material. At the end of the camp, students will be able to showcase their work at an “art show” for friends, family, and other summer students to attend.

  • Cardboard Superhero Star Wars (Grades 4 -8)

    It all started with a cardboard box...
    We are proud to be partnering with Cardboard Superheroes  - a non-profit organization with a mission to promote creative thinking and learning as well as the arts in education. The are a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) driven organization pushing the boundaries educating the next generation. 
    Cardboard Superheroes was founded by the creators of the life-sized cardboard models such as Iron Man, Groot, Wall-E, Wonder Woman, Hulkbuster, and more! Connor Lee (Chaminade class of ’23) and Bauer Lee (current Chaminade High School student) have also created the Pop-Culture STEAM Curriculum used by over 250,000+ students, have designed exhibitions for museums/organizations, and more!   • Young Investors & Entrepreneurs

    Entering 6th – 8th grade
    Teach your kids the secrets of building financial wealth and security! Whether you want to build the next great American company, become a Wall Street tycoon, or be the millionaire next door by investing wisely - this camp is for you! In this course, you will learn the basics of investing in the stock market, the difference between assets and liabilities, the importance of diversification, and how to evaluate companies. You will also develop your own business plan and present your ideas to your peers to compete for their investments in a mock Shark Tank-style activity. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

Changes to your registration can be made up to one week prior to the program/course start date, with a full refund of course fees by sending a written request to centerforexcellence@chaminade.org.

Cancellations with less than a week's notice will NOT be eligible for refunds, but fees paid may be applied towards future programming.
