  • Camp Cricut Create! (Grades 3-5)

    It doesn’t take an artist to create one-of-a-kind projects. Using the computer program Design Space, students can easily tap into their creative side to create images on tablet computers. Watch their designs come to life as they create one-of-a-kind tote bags, water bottles, t-shirts, and more. Creativity and technology come together in this camp as students print their designs on Cricut Makers.

  • Drone Adventures

    Entering 6th - 8th Grade 
    The Drones are here! Let the battles begin. In this hands-on, interactive class you will learn how to safely fly drone robots. Working in teams, you will be able to code your drone to compete in missions that will prepare you for the ultimate team challenge at the end of the week. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

  • Girl's Volleyball Camp (grades 6-9)

    This skills camp is for girls entering 6th - 9th grade in the fall of 2024
     
    Join varsity girls volleyball coach to learn from the best!  This camp is designed to challenge young women and hone their volleyball skill to get them ready to compete at the high school level.  Come see what it’s like to be part of Eagle Volleyball!

  • Eagles Explorer Camp (Grades K-2)

     Under the Sea
     
    Why not dive deep into the blue with an under-the-sea theme? The wonder and mystery of the ocean is such a captivating place to explore. After all, did you know that 80% of the ocean remains unexplored?
     
    The mystery of the ocean is what makes an under-the-sea theme so awesome. We will have our very own magical adventure through Neptune’s kingdom. We will explore all the interesting creature that live in our oceans and learn how we can keep their home clean.  Activities may include examining the anatomy of a fish and learn the ancient technique of gyotaku or “fish rubbing”, create a kelp forest and make your own submarine. You will explore many weird wonders that live under the sea through science language art, science, games and creative art activities.
     
    Just beware of passing mermaids – you may never want to leave!

  • Eagle Explorer Camp (Grades 3-5)

  • Football ( Grades 3-7)

    Join Coaches Machuca, Riley and Harwell for a great camp on our signature blue football field.  Along with the coaches our current Eagles varsity players will provide instruction and drills on both offense and defensive skills. Of course, there will be plenty of time for some fun and competitive games of flag football at this camp. Go Eagles!

    Our planet is a beautiful place, and it is up to all of us to take good care of our world. We will explore the beauty of our neighborhood with the various colors, sizes, shapes, and texture of the natural world. Campers will create their own earth art using items found around us and try a Eco-Design where we take reduce, reuse, recycle to a new level!  We will also learn how to take care of our feathered friends by making bird feeder and keep our homes beautiful by creating seed bombs to grow more flowers and plants.  Let’s Go Green together!

  • Cardboard Superhero (Grades 3-5)

    It all started with a cardboard box...
    We are proud to be partnering with Cardboard Superheroes  - a non-profit organization with a mission to promote creative thinking and learning as well as the arts in education. The are a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) driven organization pushing the boundaries educating the next generation. 
    Cardboard Superheroes was founded by the creators of the life-sized cardboard models such as Iron Man, Groot, Wall-E, Wonder Woman, Hulkbuster, and more! Connor Lee (Chaminade class of ’23) and Bauer Lee (current Chaminade High School student) have also created the Pop-Culture STEAM Curriculum used by over 250,000+ students, have designed exhibitions for museums/organizations, and more! Come join us in the week long camp to see what its all about.  You can check out their website here

    Entering 1st - 3rd grade 

    Make your LEGOs come to life! Bring in your favorite action figures or LEGOs and create a short film with your friends. Whether you want to recreate a scene from Star Wars or design a world of your own, this class brings your dreams to the screen. Students will need to bring in LEGOs and/or action figures from home, but all other equipment is provided. Student-created films will be available on a password-protected website to share with friends and family. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

    Every child can code! Develop your skills as a young coder by exploring block coding, JavaScript, and Python concepts while making your own playable mini-games. This introductory coding course is designed to get elementary-aged students excited about technology through a series of hands-on and engaging learning challenges. Student-created games will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

    Join Coach Evans, the Chaminade coach for both girls and boys Varsity teams.  Coach Evans, his staff and players will teach your skills in both offense and defense.  This camp will be run indoor in our gym and outside on the field so please bring both athletic shoes and cleats (if you already have them). Players are grouped by age and ability. This is such a great camp - if you love soccer you won't want to miss this one.

Ram’s cheerleader, Jacquelyn Ward, to experience this fun filled funky week of dance!

  • Minecraft Modders

    Entering 3rd – 6th grade
    Customize your own Minecraft world and mod the classic game in this one-of-a-kind class. Learn scripting and logic statements as you create your first mods. Students will create a wide variety of new elements, gameplay mechanics, and world-generating mods to change the way you play Minecraft. Projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students must have the Java version of Minecraft to take this class. Tablet, phone, and game console versions of Minecraft are not compatible. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

  • Introduction to Musical Theater (Grades 2-6)

    This one-week course is designed to give students the opportunity to develop their skills and techniques in the following areas: music, movement, and acting. Students will work on scenes and songs from DISNEY’S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.  This course will use Musical Theatre repertoire appropriate for the age, skill, talent, and ability of the students. Students will develop basic skills and knowledge in the rehearsal process and promote confidence in their performance abilities. Students will have an opportunity to show off their talents to friends and family at the end of the workshop.

  • Robotics for Competition

    Entering 5th – 12th grade
    Join Chaminade’s internationally recognized Eagle Engineering robotics team! Learn basic engineering concepts in a way that’s so fun you’ll forget that it’s preparing you as the next generation of innovators, inventors, and technicians. Students work in teams and create and operate a robot to compete in a game inspired by this year’s VEX Robotics Competition. No experience is necessary. The course fee includes a healthy snack and lunch every day of the week!

    Animal Planet
     
    Calling all animal lovers! Join us as we explore animals around the world! We will discover their habitats and learn about their adaptations that help them survive. Campers will love visiting the arctic and learning about how animals use blubber to keep warm. We will make yummy fruit camels in the desert and create paper plate stingrays in the ocean. Get ready to sing with the forest animals and make your own binoculars in the jungle. Come take a nature walk with us, identifying different plant and animal species. This week will remind our campers that we share our earth with a lot of living creatures, and we are all here to make it a better place.

    Animal Planet
     
    Calling all animal lovers! Join us as we explore animals around the world! We will discover their habitats and learn about their adaptations that help them survive. Campers will love visiting the arctic and learning about how animals use blubber to keep warm. We will make yummy fruit camels in the desert and create paper plate stingrays in the ocean. Get ready to sing with the forest animals and make your own binoculars in the jungle. Come take a nature walk with us, identifying different plant and animal species. This week will remind our campers that we share our earth with a lot of living creatures, and we are all here to make it a better place.

  • Cardboard Superhero Star Wars (Grades 4 -8)

    It all started with a cardboard box...
    We are proud to be partnering with Cardboard Superheroes  - a non-profit organization with a mission to promote creative thinking and learning as well as the arts in education. The are a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) driven organization pushing the boundaries educating the next generation. 
    Cardboard Superheroes was founded by the creators of the life-sized cardboard models such as Iron Man, Groot, Wall-E, Wonder Woman, Hulkbuster, and more! Connor Lee (Chaminade class of ’23) and Bauer Lee (current Chaminade High School student) have also created the Pop-Culture STEAM Curriculum used by over 250,000+ students, have designed exhibitions for museums/organizations, and more!   • YouTube Content Creators

    Entering 3rd – 6th grade
    Find your voice and leave your mark on the world! Whether you are six or sixteen, it’s time to start a career as the next YouTube star. Explore the variety of content and personalities that exist on YouTube and how to find your own niche. Learn the Dos and Don’ts of the platform and how to practice good digital citizenship. Develop your on-camera presence, your own channel branding, and professional editing skills. Take home a plan for launching your own channel with the content created in class! Student projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

Whatever your fancy, you’ll complete this camp with a collection of special creations to fire the imagination! Projects may include a round gnome box, a wooden picture frame decorated with moss, a canvas painting, and a canvas tote bag.

  • Young Game Designers

    Entering 1st - 3rd grade

    This beginner game development course is designed to get elementary-aged students excited about technology through hands-on and engaging learning activities. Recreate classic video games while exploring level design and digital arts concepts. Experience child-friendly software while learning the game development process. Show off the awesome games you create on a special, password-protected website to share with your friends and family!

    Join Coach Evans, the Chaminade coach for both girls and boys Varsity teams.  Coach Evans, his staff and players will teach your skills in both offense and defense.  This camp will be run indoor in our gym and outside on the field so please bring both athletic shoes and cleats (if you already have them). Players are grouped by age and ability. This is such a great camp - if you love soccer you won't want to miss this one.

  • A.I. Adventures - Intro to Machine Learning

    Entering 3rd – 6th grade
    Explore the world of artificial intelligence to design fully interactive games and experiences using cutting-edge technology. This program combines artificial intelligence with coding to create an unforgettable learning adventure. Students will construct machine learning models that use image and text recognition within block-based coding software to build a portfolio of projects. Student-created projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

This exciting camp is especially designed to explore how many stars make up the Milky Way, or about the formation of the sun, stars, planets, and their moons, or just want to know more about the planetary system Campers will combine their curiosity and imagination on this out of this world journey.  Make you own telescope, take a turn on spacewalk obstacle course or pay asteroid toss - it’s bound to be out of this world!

  • Minecraft Redstone Engineers

    Entering 3rd – 6th grade
    Take the next step beyond simply “playing” Minecraft and become a true Redstone engineer. Expand your Redstone knowledge by constructing your own carnival with a variety of mini-games, roller coasters, and attractions powered by Redstone. Learn how to use Command and Structure blocks to incorporate them into your builds. Activate your skills and take your Minecraft structures to the next level!

  • Robotics for Competition

    Entering 5th – 12th grade
    Join Chaminade’s internationally recognized Eagle Engineering robotics team! Learn basic engineering concepts in a way that’s so fun you’ll forget that it’s preparing you as the next generation of innovators, inventors, and technicians. Students work in teams and create and operate a robot to compete in a game inspired by this year’s VEX Robotics Competition. No experience is necessary. The course fee includes a healthy snack and lunch every day of the week!

We will crat our own spells that are sure to terrify any nearby witch or wizard and will have the ghosts, ghouls, and goblins running for cover! Of course no Wizarding week would be complete without making your very own wand -  we couldn’t think of a more spellbinding week of camp!

Changes to your registration can be made up to one week prior to the program/course start date, with a full refund of course fees by sending a written request to centerforexcellence@chaminade.org.

Cancellations with less than a week's notice will NOT be eligible for refunds, but fees paid may be applied towards future programming.
