Eagle Engineering Competes in Long Beach

Eagle Engineering (Team 1138) was one of 66 teams which competed at the Los Angeles Regional FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) held at the Long Beach Arena in mid-March.  Most teams came from the greater Los Angeles area, but the field also included two foreign teams – one from Chile and another from Brazil.  For 18 teams, this is their first year competing. John Landau, Academy Award winning producer of two of the highest grossing box office films of all time, Titanic (1997) and Avatar (2009), visited Chaminade’s West Hills campus to speak to film students. Homecoming for the Eagles

Chaminade celebrated its 2011 Homecoming with a win 31-6 win over Mission League opponent, St. Paul on Friday, October 14.  The win capped off a fun-filled week of Homecoming activities during which students competed in various competitions and participated in spirit dress days – instead of the usual uniform, picture a sea of tourists (it was a Moroccan themed week) or students clad in orange and blue.
